1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you contact us by email or telephone, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, telephone number, the name of your organisation, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting provider and analytics tools record technical information about the visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected in server logs and through cookies.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data — such as information about health, religion, ethnic origin, political opinions, biometric or genetic data, or criminal records — and we ask that you do not send such information to us through the website.

We do not collect payment card details through this website.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We use:

  • Essential cookies, which are required for the website to function, to maintain your session, and to protect against spam and abuse. The website cannot operate properly without these.
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how many people visit the website and which pages they find useful, so we can improve the site. This information is used in aggregate.

We use, or may use, the Meta Pixel supplied by Meta Platforms, Inc. to understand whether visits to our website follow from our advertising on Facebook or Instagram, and to measure how well those advertisements perform. 3. Why we use your information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to keep the website secure and to detect, prevent and investigate misuse, fraud, spam and technical faults;

We process personal information under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data of the United Arab Emirates, and applicable UAE regulations. Depending on the situation, our basis is:

  • your consent — for example, when you ask to receive information from us, or accept advertising and measurement cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time;
  • the performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering into one;
  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our website, where doing so does not override your rights and interests; and
  • compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject.

5. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Our website is hosted on the WordPress.com platform, operated by Automattic Inc. Automattic processes website data — including server logs and analytics via Jetpack Stats (stats.wp.com, pixel.wp.com) — on our behalf in order to host the site and provide statistics. Service providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising and measurement partners. Where you have consented to advertising and measurement cookies, we may share limited information with Meta Platforms, Inc. so that we can measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This occurs through the Meta Pixel, which runs in your browser. The information shared is limited to technical and event data — such as the pages you viewed, the action you took, your IP address, and browser or device information — together with identifiers that are hashed before transmission where Meta requires them. We do not share the content of your enquiries with Meta. Meta acts as an independent controller of this information and handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, and you can manage your advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
  • Professional advisers. Our accountants, auditors, insurers and lawyers, where necessary and under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Legal requirements. Where we are required to disclose information by law, by a court, or by a competent regulatory or governmental authority in the United Arab Emirates, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights or the safety of any person.
  • Business transfers. If our business is reorganised, merged or acquired, information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this policy.

6. International transfers

Our hosting, analytics and advertising providers — including Automattic Inc. and Meta Platforms, Inc. — operate infrastructure outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and the European Union. This means your information may be stored or processed outside the UAE.

Where we transfer personal information outside the UAE, we do so in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 — either to a jurisdiction recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, or under contractual commitments that require the recipient to protect the information to a standard consistent with UAE law.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above:

  • Enquiry correspondence: up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless the enquiry becomes a business relationship, in which case it is retained for the duration of that relationship.
  • Server logs and security records: typically up to 12 months.
  • Aggregate analytics: retained in a form that does not identify you individually.
  • Records we are required by law to keep, such as accounting and tax records, for the period required by UAE law.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. These include encryption of the website in transit using HTTPS, restricting access to personal information to people who need it, using reputable hosting infrastructure, and applying security updates.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information to us by email or telephone.

9. Your rights

Under UAE data protection law you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal information is processed;
  • access the personal information we hold about you, and request a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
  • request deletion of your personal information, where we have no continuing lawful reason to keep it;
  • request that we restrict or stop processing your information in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests;
  • receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format, or ask us to transfer it to another controller, where technically feasible; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 12. We will respond within the period required by law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, you may raise the matter with us directly, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

10. Third-party websites

Our website may link to websites operated by other organisations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link from ours.

11. Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
